A sense of place

After an Edinburgh morning at the Joan Eardley exhibition went to take a look at Catterline, south of Aberdeen, where she painted her wonderful landscapes. It's still a lovely quiet spot; good to see it also has a functioning school. Now on the overnight boat to Shetland. First time I've been able to travel up since September, it's been far too long!
