First day of Sixth Form
A terribly snatched blip this morning. My attempt and reportage.
Older brother drives younger brother to school!
It feels very strange as a parent to see the youngsters climbing into cars and driving around. After getting over the shock of it, it's nice to see them growing up and enjoying their independence and helping each other out.
The expressions on their faces are a combination of the sun in their eyes and the hour - unseasonably early for these guys after a long summer break...... That combined with dad prancing around with a camera much to their disgust.
Today I travelled down to Brighton to attend a funeral - my godson's grandmother passed away peacefully recently. I attended to support him and wish him well when he sets off to University next week.
It struck me that the old gang of us from Ealing - all got married within a short time of each other, had kids at similar times as each other, are now becoming empty-nester's together. New challenges and adventures to come then!
