The Moon from town

So, I love looking at the moon and even more at the moment in Edinburgh when the sky is so clear at night.

However, I noticed that compared to my photo on 7th April, taken at my parents' place in the French countryside, this photo is not as clear and focused. I'm thinking it's because of light pollution from the city (I took the photo with a tripod from my flat's kitchen in town, window open).
