Never forget

An early morning blip of the always pleasing forget-me-nots that grow profusely at this time of the year.
Lovely to catch them in the early morning low light.
Going to meet Barbara a dear friend from when we taught alongside each other in some pretty demanding conditions.
Got a shock when l realised she retired over ten years ago, feels like no more than a few months, time is hurtling by.
We used to laugh so much each and every day, often till we cried and our sides ached, much to the amusement of our pupils.
We've never forgotten each other and still meet a few times each year.
Today we meet in Halifax, her nearest town after she has finished her art lesson, another reminder we are never too old to learn.
So if you see two women belly laughing in some cafe there today , it will probably be us!

Also put on an extra of the final race last evening, l know it's not posted on the day but hope this okay for an extra.
All went smoothly.
I love the triangle of runners heading to the path that is so narrow in parts that it needs to be run in single file.
The Moor looked beautiful and it was actually warm up there and that doesn't happen often!
