Swans Still Building

I took my older sister to the Detroit Airport this morning. She is going to visit her daughter and family in Virginia Beach.

On the way home, I stopped off at Kensington Park...in search of sand-hill cranes...and crane babies.

I did see cranes, but no crane babies. But, the swans fit the bill...ha ha...THEY FIT THE BILL!

Mom and Dad were quite attentive to their 7 cygnets. There was 2 lengthy eating sessions, and one l-o-n-g nap. Twice during the nap, Mom was bending into the water...adding new stuff to the nest.

Even though the mute swans are not welcomed by all people around here...they are very pretty, and they drew in quite a few photographers.
