Book Club

Book Club at my house today…  everything store bought. (well, it would be the same if I had 2 good hands! :-) )    M’s birthday so we had chocolate cake (extra).  S came late so she’s still eating salads… 

The author was Colm Toibin, with his novel Brooklyn, ( more immigrant talk)   and his book of short stories, Mothers and Sons (described as NOT the book to give your mother on Mother’s day! )   Very different from one another…  Good discussion…and comparison to the movie.   ( we DO discuss the book.. among other things…)  I love this group of long time friends —its hard to believe a few of them are VERY near to turning 80!  3 were away and missing today —it’s a very traveling bunch!

The granddaughters and their dad came over after to finish up the cake ... with a handmade Mother's Day card.

ONE MORE SLEEP til the new different cast!  ( yes I've been counting the days! )
