Police station visit

Our local police gave the scouts a tour around their very modern and well appointed police station. We saw everything, it seemed, from their luxurious kitchen / rest area to the bleakly bare cells.
The scouts asked good questions, eg "does wearing a gun on your thigh make you walk funny?" And my favourite " So, are sergeants more special than constables?", which made our friendly senior constable splutter and say, " well, senior yes, but I am not so sure about special! " Luckily there were no sergeants around to snigger.
