Hellefjellet Lake.

It was snowing heavily again this morning, as we set out across a lake to our objective, Hellefjellet Col. Occasionally the sun teased us with the beautiful light and shade it always seems to create here. We had to stop before the col as the wind had blown snow off the last section, leaving a sheet of bare ice, not possible to climb on skis! Setting off down, I did just one turn, one of my skis came off and I landed heavily, mainly on a thumb. Interesting ski down holding only one pole. I can't hold my camera very well either but couldn't resist this view across the lake on the way back to the boat. The snow flakes were dancing in the sun against the blue sky.
