A garden full of House Sparrows
Though generally not fairing as well as they once did, we seem to be making up for the decline and at the moment have a garden full of new fledglings, though I think this one is one of the dad's. I think the gutters and eaves of our old houses offer `des res' accommodation for house sparrows and then there's the `take away' that is conveniently filled up with seed each day. Who wouldn't want to make their home with us. At least this one seems to have caught his own.
A funeral service for us at Chesterfield Crematorium this afternoon, a lovely gentle ceremony for a young man whose life choices had not done him or his family any favours. I feel I need to say more but can't find the right words.
