Parrot's Drumble Bluebells

Parrot's Drumble is a local nature reserve in the strangest of locations. It's found at the back of an industrial estate and out of town shopping complex.

It's well known for the bluebells and that's why it's one of our must visits every Spring. It's hardly a great effort for us to get here as it's only a 10 minute drive away.

The reserves name is a bit strange too, but it's from a combination of the previous owners, the Parrot family, and a local term for a stream running through a wooded valley - drumble.

I could have stayed there all day but it was getting too busy by noon, so we made a hasty retreat having had a couple of hours of bluebell heaven.
