Victoria Warehouse Hotel
Tonight, the Minx had plans for a pre-Glasto meet up with some of the friends she's accompanying to the festival. We'd decided that we'd get a hotel in town but ended up staying at the Victoria Warehouse Hotel. To be honest, we hadn't even realised that there was a hotel there but it turned out to be an absolute beauty.
Virtually everything there is reclaimed, whether it's from the warehouse itself or sent back by the owner from elsewhere. I loved the room we were staying in but the downstairs was gorgeous, too. This is the 'library', where we sat and had a glass of Prosecco with my daughter, Hannah.
After that, the Minx and I met up with her friends at Bundobus before parting ways, as I went off to meet up with Simon at Allotment in the Northern Quarter. Our plan was to make our way back to the bar at the Victoria Warehouse via two or three pubs en route but we started in The Briton's Protection, a pub that has three different barrels of Jack Daniels that are especially casked for them.
