Lord Love a Duck!

A full day today and another warm sunny one too.  Dentist appointments interrupted our afternoon, but we still managed to fit in a coffee and scone in Meigle, a quick visit to the shop at Peel Farm (subject of a later blip, perhaps?), a photo stop at Loch of Lintrathen and a visit to the RSPB site at Kinordy Loch.

Great excitement among other bird watchers in the hide when a Bittern was spotted among the water reeds, but it proved to be too shy to pose for a photo, even for those with ginormous camera lenses and scopes!  However, this lovely smiley Shoveler Duck was happy to oblige, although you had to be quick to catch him with his head above water:-)

A regular shot of Lintrathen in Extras and a young swan (are they still cygnets at this stage?)
