Our Queen

Essu has an overactive thyroid and she must be medicated daily. It's been a balancing act to give the pill and maintain the loving & caring relationship we've had so far. In Finnish we have a saying old age won't come alone, referring to the ailments and physical weakening in seniority. She's twelve already.
