No Man's Land....

....quite literally!

Today we drove east from Limassol along the south coast of Cyprus, calling in to a number of beach resorts along the way.

Following Peter's infallible sense of direction, we found ourselves at the border between south and north Cyprus.

In the distance, we could see the city of Famagusta. We could also see many abandoned and now derelict houses around the border area, which, we understand, is called the ghost town.

If you look closely, you can just about make out the Turkish flag.

It's such a pity that conflict has split such a beautiful country.
