Yellow Bucket

Beautiful day for a long walk. Took our usual route to breakfast in Kenton and managed not to get all crazy when we got to the flea market in the Eagles parking lot. A couple months ago I found a great whirly-gig of a dog that wagged its tail and stuck out its tongue when the blades whirled around. It was old, hand-made and in very good shape. I paid the guy $15, then asked if he'd mind holding it until we came back from breakfast. No problem, he said. But, when we returned, he and his van were gone. Seems he'd had a tiff with management and took off in a huff. I was so disappointed! Now every week, we look for both the guy and the whirly-gig. Big waste of time, so no more. Just the re-telling of the one that got away.
