Wet Plate Harbour

I'm pondering a genuine wet plate photography weekend in September. Slight downside is that it's in Glasgow which is a long way (and long way means more expensive) but it is a place I really want to visit.
Today is the first day of this season that I really wish winter was on its way. Too many people wandering around the whole time.
On the plus side it's Liberation Day tomorrow and nobody has mentioned a peal. We will be ringing a quarter peal in the morning which is good but standing still pulling a rope for 3 hours is not fun...
