Rare find

These are V registration plates issued in New Zealand in 1938-39. V stands for contract vehicle and typically they were used on hearses. I have owned the lower plate for many years and I was thrilled to find and purchase the mate today. My only disappointment is that somebody has tried to repaint the plate and it looks rather too bright.
