Giant of the forest

Grand-daughters A and L visited this magnificent specimen Eucalyptus Saligna in the Woodbush Forest of Magoebaskloof  this past weekend.

The tree stands at 79.5 metres. The previous claimant to the title was blown over in a storm during 2006. Its height was 81.5 metres.
