Scooting off to Italy

Its just finished raining here in Florence this evening, as we wander around the historic centre looking for a nice place to eat. Our trip here has been without incident and its great to be on holiday.  

Despite being away on holiday, there have not been that many opportunities for photography today, mainly because of the travel logistics. We were going to have a walk down to the Arno after our meal, but both felt sufficiently tired after the 4am start, to decide to give it a miss until tomorrow. :-)

Sadly my sister Janet and Incredibish have not been able to join us for our week in Italy, although they were originally going to when this was planned.  However Janet's kidney transplant has ruled that out for now.  Great news of course, about her kidney, and she can take comfort in the fact that it is raining and we have been worrying that we didn't bring enough warm clothes :-o
