Power to the people......

......some of the local residents in a street not a million miles away from mine annexed the edges of the wide walkway outside their houses a few years back. After a local petition (when the 'authorities' wanted the guerrilla gardeners plant pots removed) the council backed down,  painted 'the lines that couldn't be crossed' and a peace treaty was signed.....it's looking good this year ( and it smells nice too!)

The extras are from yesterday's trip to North Shields Fish Quay.....I was SO stuffed when I got home I spent the evening horizontal with a loosened waistband;-)
