SPOONBILL, (Platalea regia)

Christchurch (NZ) is slowly coming into winter and after a lovely sunny day yesterday this morning dawned foggy and showery. Still this means the other side of the planet is getting warmer.... This Spoonbill was fosicking around the entrance at the Causeway.
The xtra is a Little pied Shag which regularly perches on a flax bush along the Linwood Canal.
