What's Outside My Window

Like many homes in Spain, and elsewhere, where the warm weather encourages you to leave your doors and windows wide open...to help the air circulate......
we have 'burglar bars' or 'rejas' on our windows......to keep out any opportunist who fancies coming in!

The first photos I took for the challenge included the 'bars'
.....but I decided to hold the camera outside the bars.

This is the view from our lounge window, taken at 9 a.m this morning....with the sun shining on the lower terrace.....
we normally eat lunch ......and dinner, in the summer,......at the table on the terrace right outside the window

At the far end of the garden, there is the gazebo.....which offers more shade in the summer!

We spend a lot of our time outside.....BBQing in the summer, too. .........so having plenty of shade is one of our most important requirements!
