Coffee
What day is it again?
Every day has felt like sunday for the past 2 weeks!
This blip is coffee with my parents in M&S.
My dad has to go out for coffee at some point everyday (its what you do when you're retired apparently!) so my folks now have 3 main places that they go to depending on where they are.
The favourite is of course The Storehouse - but its very close to home so it tends to be the option if they aren't going far or find themselves with enough time before going home for tea (unlikely, dad doesn't leave the house till 4pm) or for special lunch/cake related treats!
Next is M&S in the Eastgate centre, a handy spot when you are in town but not very interesting (dad likes their coffee best tho, and you really don't want to hear him and my brother go on about the cheese scones.....).
Thirdly, Starbucks in Borders. The coffee (in my dads opinion) is rubbish (mum and I disagree - we don't need to get shakes and palpitations as part of our latte experience) but they have dad magazines about shares and such.... more excitingly there is the added bonus of lots of books to browse :O) and the people watching from the balcony is excellent.
Its a very important part of the day. A wee bit more variation would be good tho ;)
Clark was off back down south this morning so now its just mum, dad and me (and Felix of course).
The Festive Season is officially over. Its pretty quiet here now!
