A visit to Edinburgh would not be complete without a visit to the Botanic Gardens.  

A beautiful rock garden, paths wandering through vast areas of trees and shrubs, the sound of waterfalls .... an idyllic place to spend an hour .... or more!

I loved this pink peony rose which did well to withstand the fairly strong wind that blew for most of the day. The extra shot is one part of the Glasshouses ..... that's for our next visit.
