Here there be woggyhens...

The Moorhens have been making a racket this week with their shrieking "chink chink - chink chink" alarm calls.  Foxes use the run by the farm pond to access the hillside beyond and the woggyhens aren't impressed, making their racket at dawn - which at the moment is long before I get up!

I spooked the water hens this afternoon as I took this photo so I suspect they have a nest close by.
