Flower Friday

I'm not sure I've ever participated with Flower Friday on blip but here goes.

Woken at 3:30am by a mouse scratching around overhead so the light went on and I didn't sleep properly till 8am.

The local elections demonstrated that every vote counts and in my area I was delighted that a Green counsellor has been elected, beating the opposition by just 27 votes!

I love the colours of this Iris- my parents planted it and I may get some better photographs of it when the lighting is better, it would be fabulous to try and paint Georgia O'Keefe style
