Dead Tree

I was out before 6 a.m. with Finlay - but missed the sunrise (which didn't look as though it had been very spectacular to be honest).

We walked past this old burnt tree and I thought it looked quite interesting with the backdrop of the elephant grass fields (which have just been cropped) and the nice blue sky. The bales of biofuel were removed pretty quickly after harvest - presumably to avoid a repeat of this which was the cause of this tree's demise.

After breakfast I had a quick saunter to Mrs madwill's studio to tighten up one of the taps I put in the other day - there was a little leak.

After lunch I spent a while trying to to tidy some accumulated rubbish in the garden - and also to fill in and seed some of the larger divots in the grass that appeared whilst the dogs were running about. Whilst I was out there I came across a frog (see extra) lurking in a plant pot tray. There was only  a tiny bit of water left and he only hung around long enough for me to grab a couple of shots. We are a long way from any water - so I hope it can find somewhere safe to hide.
