Wet
The almost-everyday rain has filled up our pond again. I love to look out from the 6th floor to see the green. It's a nice contrast to the city, concrete, and pollution that is everywhere in Bangkok.
Looking at the picture for a second time, I realized that maybe I should interpret, the smooth green (all around the boat and hut) is water covered with little leafy water plants. The rough green around the edges is tall swamp grass. It would be over my head if I stood next to it.
In Bangkok, on average it rains more than 300 mm (almost 12 inches) in September. We have to stock up on the water so we can stay green even when it doesn't rain later in the year.
For a comparison, this picture from May shows how much green water was left in our pond during hot season. (The edges of dirt are under the boat in this picture.)
