Oh, for a splash on the beach!
It has been down to earth with a bump since May Day, with endless bureaucratic obstacles to face, and I'm feeling totally frazzled today. Still, head down and ploughing slowly through them has helped a bit. Natch I shouldn't be blipping now, let alone back-blipping, but what the heck.
With two chores dispatched far more satisfactorily and quicker than I expected, I couldn't resist walking down another block for a quick peek at the beach (intentions to walk on it this morning having been thwarted). The kids were having such fun in the water - worrying that it's thoroughly polluted, but I couldn't see how to warn them (or their parents, who weren't in evidence).
Then back to Av. Copacabana, lined all along with street sellers (unemployment's up, so everyone's hustling for a few pennies). They're all illegal, so have strings attached to the corners of the tarps their wares are displayed on, so they can gather everything up in a hurry and hide in doorways if the inspectors show up (extra photo).
