At the hide.....

...... we managed to spend a bit of time down at the nature reserve this morning; lots of Bullfinches, Reed Buntings and Robins but not many Jays or Nuthatch. Since the floods of 18months their presence is noticeably lacking, but I'm hoping their numbers will come back again if we have a decent summer. The weather is picking up a bit but although it's nice and bright there's a cool breeze much of the time - but still it's only May.
