Sunset at Sunset Beach, NC

Sunset Beach is about 12 minutes from my house.  It is on the southeastern coast of North Carolina, and the island of Sunset Beach is an east/west beach, therefore offering grand sunsets from the west end of the island.  I was one of 8 people there about 8 PM tonight as the sun was setting.  The extra photo is from the side yard of a house that sits on the point at the west end of the island.  We normally think of island beaches as north/south, but the shape of NC along the southeastern coast, and the way the adjacent islands are shaped and located, means the island sits nearly perpendicular to the mainland and is east/west relative the the rising and setting of the sun.
