Melksham (Wednesday 3rd May 2017)

I had lunch in Melksham today and spent a large part of the afternoon discovering its back streets and nature reserves. The Conigre Nature Reserve leads down to the River Avon near to Western Way passing over Challymead Bridge, and it was today's chosen reading spot.

This was the birthday of James Brown (3 May 1933, Barnwell SC; d. 25 December 2006, Atlanta GA). This single is a re-recording of a track from his album Out Of Sight from a year earlier. I used to own it on a Pye single when it was released here in February 1966.
