The Freedom of the Dower House

The ceremony of the handing over of keys, giving David and Luca the freedom of the Dower House, was conducted at 10 am this morning with due pomp and circumstance.

We trust we will recognise the house on our return and that all electronic appliances will work as before and not be found in altered states, thereby causing His Lordship and me to have an IT meltdown.

And so it is off to catch the trusty no 35 bus at the top of the road to the airport, a journey of about an hour through the highways and byways of an unfamiliar part of Edinburgh, but a free one for us, saving about £20 on a taxi fare. We are not people to splash the cash unnecessarily.
