Greys Court

I arrived back from Newark early this morning and after a long nap a friend and I went to Greys Court near Henley. Greys Court is a National Trust property - one of my favourite. This time of year it is most famous for the wisteria but it wasn't quite at its peak so we may have to go back! But we enjoyed other parts of the gardens and the inside of the house too. There is a tower and some ruined walls from a previous house on the property. Even though it was a very grey day it was warm enough to enjoy a coffee and some cake outside in the fresh air.

Greys Court is also known for the stunning carpet of bluebells but sadly we did NOT make enough time for them. I hope I can squeeze in another visit before they die out!
