Day 7. Goodbye Paihia

At breakfast this morning we were treated to a wonderful display as the sun rose In the Bay of Islands. A lovely memory to take with us as we headed off back to Auckland.

A quieter day with our only sightseeing stop being the Whangarei Quarry Gardens. It is a beautiful tropical garden created in a disused quarry and utilising some of the original structures. All done with mainly voluntary labour.

In Auckland now with Waiheke Island to look forward to tomorrow.
