Wild and Windy
Woke up feeling hungover after one (count it) glass of red wine last night. Have decided to stick to beer for a couple of months.
Watched the tail end of Andy Murray's match against Tomas Berdych in the US Open - remembered why I don't watch tennis, it's far too stressful. However, I graciously accepted congratulations when he won. Bit like the Olympics really - people seemed to think that I organized them myself - You put on a great Olympics - Oh thank you, it was nothing. Really.
Anyway.
Sun and clouds and a wild warm wind today (the same wind that upset Berdych's serve, no doubt) so we packed up Biff the stunt kite and took him to Nahant (feeling better by now). The waves were pounding shore (thanks, hurricane Leslie) and kite surfers and the wind surfers were zipping by. Dark dramatic clouds to the south, light dramatic skies to the north, failed to do justice to either with the little casio camera. Every now and then, the sun would break through the clouds and light up the shoreline of Little Nahant so it glowed.
Biff loves the strong winds, this is really the first time we've been able to fly him properly. We came home encrusted with sand, always the sign of a good day!
