Portrait Night
Back to work this morning for a packed day trying to cram Monday's and Tuesday's regular meetings into one day. Annie had a flight up to Edinburgh where she's working for a couple of days, at least I wasn't commuting far.
This evening's camera club meet was a practical night shooting portraits. We had a number of rigs setup in the hall, studio flash, speedlights and continous lighting options so all could have a go irrespective of camera. All thanks to one very generous club committee member who coordinated the whole thing and provided the majority of the hardware. We had a go at shooting each other (members were encouraged to get a shot of me as my photo still isn't on the club website despite being chairman!!) but also had a model (Emma) who has worked with us before.
I shot this on a continous lighting rig and using the lovely Canon 135mm f2.0 lens. With the continous light, it was easy to shoot at a shallow depth of field to soften lots of the details.
Thanks for all the comments etc. on yesterday's bluebells.
