Champione!!

The last open top bus victory parade I attended was very different from this one. This time the streets were lined with noisy flag-waving fans - 20,000 were expected, to celebrate Lincoln City becoming Champions of the National League, and in so doing, gaining promotion to the Football League 2 next season.

Football fever has gripped Lincoln this year. It has brought new vitality to the city, and generally been a good thing.
