BACKBLIP - Protective parents

A free day where we decided to explore Cannock Chase and visited the Wolseley Wildlife Centre near Rugeley.  There were lots of new goslings resting on the riverside and we had to be careful as we passed them as they parents were protectively hissing at anyone who they considered to be too close.  From the hide we saw a Kingfisher dash past  couple of times and a Nuthatch that had apparently enlarged the hole in a nesting box intended for Bluetits and moved in!  A delightful place to spend some time. We then drove further up the moors to the German Military Cemetery.  A moving experience.  An enjoyable evening spent with our fellow rallyers.
