A Bridge Not Too Far
Really thought I was going to struggle for a blip today. We had spent the day giving the sheds another coat of wood preserve, something we had been planning to do since the spring.
However, today was the day and delighted we got lots done. A few 'nook and cranny' bits to finish, but hopefully we'll get the job completed soon and that will be the winter 'overcoats' in place.
We then went down to South Queensferry for a bite to eat and afterwards headed down to the shore with a view to taking some photographs. It was threatening rain though so time was of the essence.
I took some photographs up-river towards the road bridge but, just then, the sun broke through the clouds an lit up one section of the Forth Rail Bridge. It lasted only for a few seconds, but I managed to get a shot.
I know this is one of the most photographed structures in Scotland and it will, I'm sure, feature in blips for many years to come!!
At that moment, the heavens opening and it was still pouring when we got home. Feet up now to watch 'George Gently'.
