Lambing Day
Bank holiday outing for us all today. We went to Amners Farm and their annual lambing day which they run for just 2 weekends a year. We went last year and really enjoyed it. Considering they only run these for 4 or 5 days they set up so brilliantly for families.
We saw newborn lambs with their mums, lots of new lambs and ewes waiting to have their babies. There was a fab playbarn made of piles of hay bales which C & R loved tunnelling through and climbing on.
We saw piglets, lambs, sheep shearing, puppies and cows and I held a baby chick (which promptly pooped on me, nice!).
We rode on a tractor and then had a go altogether on the miniature railway. C sat right at the front behind the driver and R had her very own seat (I held on to her pretty tightly though!).
Picnic and ice creams even though it was pretty cold in places, luckily the sun did venture out too.
Such a fab day out!
