Almost Forgot

I was just closing the curtains this evening when I spotted this image with vague sunset hues on the clouds. I went and got my camera out and as I took the photo I suddenly realised I hadn't posted ( or even taken ) my blip for today ........that's the first time since I started blipping that it's happened :-/
The reason is that I've been very distracted.........for the last couple of weeks ( on and off ) hubby and I have been discussing extending our family with a couple of new feline housemates. The discussions have been quite emotional at times as we try to decide exactly what to start looking for. We managed to set a few approximate parameters, the most important being that that they should come from a rescue charity.......well today we started looking seriously at all the rescue centres websites and what an emotional roller coaster it proved to be.........so many sad stories :-( and so many poor souls wanting someone to love them.......needless to say I wanted to help them all ..........setting parameters feels like you're saying " I don't want you because of such and such" and that's just not the case........if a stray wandered into the garden, we wouldn't care what it was, it would be loved regardless :-)
The process is going to be so much harder than I expected.......and that's before we've even visited a centre!!!
Anyway, for one reason or another it's taken up all my time and energy today and I feel emotionally and physically drained.......but we have moved a step or two closer .........we have to get it right because we want our new housemates to be happy and comfortable :-)

Now I need to sleep to recharge the batteries.......hopefully my tooth will be fixed tomorrow and I can have a meal that comes on a plate rather than in a bowl :-))
