Bloody Long Way Up

I was invited to a cocktail party aboard RFA Mounts Bay this evening. On arrival it was high tide and I'd forgotten how steep a ships gangway could be and once you'd reached the upper deck that climbing four decks to the bridge would mean you'd need a drink when you finally made it!
I got to mix with the 'usual suspects', we all attend most functions but nevertheless it was a good evening.
Tonight heralds the start of a busy month, Sea Cadet parade, two Mayor Makings, a Ward Thomas concert all within the first two weeks of May.
