A truly dreadful day weather wise. Howling gales and driving rain for most of the day. Every May Day holiday there is a charity event called the World Aid Walk. Harry and his friends decided to walk it this year. Obviously they didn't realise it was going to be quite such apocalyptic conditions on the actual day.
Harry completed 11 miles of a 12 mile route around the island. I picked him up, he was cold, wet and shattered. Bless his little heart, he said he thought he'd failed as he didn't finish the whole distance. What he didn't know was that people behind him had been told to cut inland and take a shorter route as the conditions were so terrible. He still received his medal and many hugs from his proud mummy.
