The View

No monsters and no dog today.

We visited SWMBO's mother as usual and then went out to visit my sister and brother-in-law.
The blip is the view from their house using the fisheye lens on the infrared camera. This is the more conventional view.
Although we had no dog to walk - my sister's dog still needed one - so we went to the Old House on the Clerk Estate outside Penicuik. The owners have stayed in the wee house since a fire destroyed the big one in 1899.

I used to play around here over 50 years ago - which is a bit scary!.

We had a walk round the top pond with its old boat house  (a 'normal' view here) which has whale jaw bones over the door.

As impressive as the frontal elevation of the big house is, I actually prefer the view as you come down from the pond.

After the walk it was back to the house for a lovely lunch and while my brother-in-law headed for the golf course SWMBO, my sister and I had a great catch up.

After a stop to buy one or two items from Costco we had the 'fun' of dealing with the lunatics who drive like maniacs wearing blinkers in cars without mirrors or indicators whose sole intent is getting home as quickly as possible without and heed to other road users.
