Blue Headed Vireo
This would be a good deal nicer if it were actually in sharp focus, but hey ho. It's a blue-headed vireo, a female, and she was working on her nest.
We hung around the main meeting place today - tomorrow our real birding *trips* begin.
A couple of extras of birds that were banded here today. A black-throated green warbler, and a white-crowned sparrow. The WCSP is quite an unusual thing to catch in a mist net here, evidently. The bird banding guy was excited!
