Jane owner of Dartmoor Base
Emma arrived at Dartmoor base early this morning to collect Jane and to do a good walk minus children. I had taken advantage of a little lay in but was awoken by the pair checking with me their route and start point as they used to do when all three of us were Dartmoor Expedition Assessors for the D of E Award
They returned several hours later, elated with two very tired dogs, having had a wonderful day reaching their objective, Shavacombe Falls, which was used in the film "War Horse".
We then all spent a couple of hours gardening before Emma went off the see her brood while me, Mrs M and Jane enjoyed our Sunday dinner. Between main course and pudding Jane had soaked away the strains of the day and we all sat out on the deck, with a lovely glass of red.
It was great to see the girls having such a lovely day and Jane now enjoying that feeling of relaxation that a good days in the hills can bring
