1373 - Ants In Yer Pants!

We took a drive up to Kinloch Ranch today for a walk and on one of the paths there were hundreds of these ants carrying off worms, beetles and spiders... I'm not convinced they were all dead to begin with...  Do these ants attack other beasties for food?

I started to get the heebie jeebies at one point when I was standing looking down at them and they were crawling over my boots...  All I could picture was the scene in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull...  I had visions of being dragged away to their lair...  

It's been a rather lovely holiday weekend!
