Nuts

It's not just Roger the squirrel who's worked out how to dangle upside down and get to the peanuts on the bird feeding station: one of the wood pigeons has now got it sussed as well. Mind you, he seems to have to re-learn the method every time and doesn't always succeed. Over the course of the day, however, he managed to eat a fair few nuts which will only have added to his well-fed appearance.

While all this was going on, it was Mum's birthday and she came over with Dad and Uncle John for a lovely day based around a particularly good roast cooked by our resident chef, followed by a spectacular baked Alaska. Mum and I also nipped down to the garden centre and returned with various plants including a Fuchsia called 'Dawn Star' :)
