Obbyoss Day

Welcome to Padstow and Cornwall Blipmeet 2!  Loosecanon told us we needed to be in Padstow on 1 May for the Obbyoss Day festivities so we did as we were told.  In Spite Of The Weather.

It has poured with rain for most of the day and has been chilly to say the least.

We were very tempted to go somewhere indoors but we felt sorry for Loosecanon and Tehnophobe waiting for us in their little camper van so we went, and what a great fun time we had mingling with the masses and the drummers and the singers and the ribbon wavers and getting hit on the head by the madly whirling Obbyoss as he pirouetted his way on his fertility rite through the narrow flag-bedecked street of Padstow.

In true Blipmeet fashion, we managed coffee, losing each other, taking photos, lunch, more photography, looking for a pub, elbowing out way to the front of the crowds, then a pint of something tasty, before trudging wetly up the hill, via Tesco, back to the car.

This Blip is of just two of the many interesting characters in Padstow today.  A great study in mankind was to be had in the town today.  Great!
